Voldemar Volkoff (1932 - 2007) was the ceramist and the painter, his art was inspired by the modern movement which marked the twentieth century, in the lineage of Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. He was one of the last representatives of the Vallauris school. Voldemar Volkoff did his ceramic apprenticeship in Montpellier then worked from 1952 to 1954 the different workshops in Biot and in Antibes, Then in Vallauris in the workshops of Capron, Anasse, Meynard, Portanier, Reynaud.
He participated in the Biennales in 1970 and 1972, then exhibited in France and all over the world. He was member of the Quartz group since 1994.
