A gilt bronze clock in Louis XVI style decorated with garland of laurel leaves and acanthus leaves. An antique urn garlanded by laurel leaves on the top. White enamelled dial with Roman and Arabic numerals. Carrare white marble base is decorated with gilt bronze trophy in shape of quivers and friezes. Four gilt bronze legs in shape of rotating tap. The mechanism was revised, with its key and pendulum.
The dial signed "Lepaute à Paris", clockmaker mentionned in the Tardy, Dictionnaire des Horlogers Français, 1972, p. 384.
