Sculptor and goldsmith, Alexandre Clerget (1856 - 1931) studied under Alexandre Falguière and Jean-Joseph Carriès.He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes français in 1896 and 1903. The Art Foundry Siot-Decauville was active in the second half of the 19th century and in the beginning of the 20th century. The company La société éditait des oeuvres des artistes tels que J.L. Gérôme, E. Meissonier ou A. Carlès.
