A Louis XVI period gilt carved wood barometer - thermometer, decorated on the top with a dove with the wings spread surrounded by a torch and a quiver symbolising the Allegory of Love. Nice original gilding. Interesting historical references for the thermometer. In good condition. The mechanism was revised.
